so pleased to have been around when this was …..happy days
So all the good plans to blog a few things that have happened over the last few days, and things that the oldmanleslie clan are looking forward to ….go right out of the window when I realise, I love the tunes, and whilst they don’t sound as good, And I have it on vinyl some where …..you tube is great for memories and instant access
happy ” dancing like a loon “
as reported on www.bbc.co.uk/news I think this is a wrong choice by the BBC, Charts should be based on sales, where s the fun in clinically clicking a button for your music, maybe I’m too ” old ” Oldmanleslie.
it was fun buying vinyl, it felt good. it still sounds better and it looks good ( only my opinion)
but here’s the rational argument. For example, one of my old faves. I have this behind me on a cd, and somewhere on an old vinyl. bought in shops, so I assume I have paid my fees to the artist. And therefore I can listen to it on some service for free.
but if all I pay is to stream the track and listen when I want, I don’t own a copy out right. so if this is the thin end of the wedge, will there one day only be streamed music available ..
rant over , let me know what you though of the old classic
So what a tune, from Not THAT long ago .
Always sends a little shiver across my spine this one, not sure why …..either that or i want to be driving very fast in a very straight line in my Motor……….enjoy
One from that dark time called the 80’s
But only Just
another one from my youth, seems my little lad loves it
And paired up to a real comedy genius double act ( and no, that’s not Simon Cowell )
such an inspirational track for me, one from My Dads ( the real oldmanleslie )’s old albums. May surprise you that I like it.
Surprised me that I knew every word
well, it relaxed me, then inspired me, then invigorated me……and once again, its only music
and yes, i am tooooooo old to be enjoying this sort of stuff
one from a couple of years ago …..loved it then even though im way to old to be listening to stuff like this
Enjoy it, One of the more mellow tunes
at the time , one of my favourite tracks on the first album that my girlfriend at the time ( Now “mrs Oldmanleslie” for a long time bought me ) ….. It was played to almost breaking in the car at the time , and i think finally the cassette player managed to chew it up , I couldn’t even repair it with a Bic Biro.
It just made me realise, i have a vinyl collection 7,12 inch and albums that sound great , a stack of CD’s and still a few tapes that i can no longer play , Various hard drives of MP3 tracks , and little Micro SD cards in the car ….
And of course like the link at the top , i can tap into non existent music that is streamed….. But i never had any 8 tracks
So whats the next format do we think
hey hey hey , i’ll huff…………….
so is it bad to blog about a tune that pops up that you had forgotten, all i was doing was a shuffle whilst blogging.
” im a wolf today ” love it
firstly , all credit to the animator, and the team that had the idea
Heres one for y’all that must be 10 years old know . 2 generations of ” oldmanleslie” have liked
it…even the real ” old man ”
It still makes me smile
any how ,
and I’m sure there is a good reason
but it’s from a simpler time….
